Mr. Books

Mr. Books Bookshop, in it's 12 plus years of trading in the town, has become very much part of the fabric of the Tonbridge community. Please get in touch by phone, email or, better still, in person if you think that owning or sharing ownership in a thriving independent bookshop is something you have always fancied being part of. It's a romantic dream for many but it could be a reality. After all I did it! I'll be relocating up North, back to my roots, so now it's your turn.

This could be a perfect opportunity for a semi-retired couple, a real book fanatic, or maybe you've just had enough of commuting and the rat race. It's a great lifestyle as well. You can even put trips to Hay on Wye Literary Festival on your business running costs!

The terms of the business sale really do vary widely depending on what's involved. For example, for 45,000, you'd have a shop full of around 9,000 books, most of the shop furniture, the name, me on hand to help you start up. You'll be all set to go. The 5 year shop lease is renewable and could be assigned over to you. The rest of the value is the stock itself which could mean that you'd have some high-end first editions on the shelves as well as the other quality stock; subject to negotiation.
